Expect spray foam insulation in this province to sit somewhere from $2.50 to $7 for each square foot the foam covers. Open cell lives near the bottom of that spread, while closed cell and crawl spaces climb toward the top. A free visit is what produces your exact figure, on paper.
Closed cell is dense, rates near R-6 to R-7 for each inch of depth and stops vapour. Open cell is soft, rates near R-3.5 to R-3.8 for each inch and is cheaper. Each suits different parts of a house.
Yes. After it cures and the space airs out, the foam is inert. We tell you how long to stay out before the job begins.
Kits work for small gaps, but large areas are hard to spray evenly from a can. Poor mixing or a cold surface can leave foam that shrinks or smells.
Foam seals air leaks as well as insulating, while fibreglass only slows heat. Foam costs more, so we use it where air sealing matters most.
In living spaces such as basements, garages and bonus rooms, it must be covered by a fire-rated layer like drywall. Attics and crawl spaces often need only a thin sprayed coating.
Yes. We spray under the plywood from the garage side, which seals the floor and stops cold air from moving beneath it.

Basement spray foam insulation sticks to poured concrete, stops drafts where the floor framing meets the foundation and keeps damp air off the wall, so a finished lower level stays warm and dry.

Garage spray foam insulation tightens the walls and ceiling of a garage, so exhaust and cold air stay out of the house and a heated workspace keeps its warmth.
