Doon Spray Foam Insulation installs foam in attics, rooms over garages, basements, garages, crawl spaces and new additions across the south end of Kitchener. Our team is fully insured and capable of any job.
Our work is in homes, which means it happens in places where people live. We protect the house, keep the job tidy and explain each step in plain words.
We do not quote from a phone call or a photo. A free on-site visit lets us measure each area, look for drafts and damp and see what insulation is already in place.
By the end of the visit, you know which rooms need attention and why. Then the written quote arrives, listing product, inches and square footage room by room.
Foam comes in two main types, and picking the wrong one wastes money. Closed cell is dense, controls vapour and gives the most R-value per inch. Open cell is lighter, cheaper and best kept to walls and ceilings that sit on the warm side of the home.
We tell you which product goes where and why, so the reasoning is right there on your quote.
Spray foam insulation only performs when it reaches full depth and grips the framing. A thermometer reading on the studs comes first, then the foam goes up in several lifts, and a depth probe checks each wall while we work. That is how you get the R-value printed on your quote.
Houses in this part of the city come in a few main types. Pioneer Park has many split-level homes from the 1970s, often with crawl spaces. Doon South, Brigadoon and Huron Park have newer two-story homes with rooms over attached garages and vaulted great rooms. Upper Doon and Lower Doon still hold some much older houses, including fieldstone homes from the 1800s.
Each type has its own weak spots, and we shape the plan around them.
Floors, furniture and windows get covered with plastic before spraying. When the work is done, we trim the foam, take our waste with us and air out the space. Before leaving, we walk through the finished area with you and answer your questions.

Bonus room spray foam insulation seals the floor, knee walls and sloped ceiling of a room built on top of a garage, so it holds heat like the bedrooms next to it.

Basement spray foam insulation sticks to poured concrete, stops drafts where the floor framing meets the foundation and keeps damp air off the wall, so a finished lower level stays warm and dry.

Foam sprayed into a vaulted ceiling fits strong R-value into the slim gap between drywall and roof, so the room stops leaking heat through its ceiling.

Garage spray foam insulation tightens the walls and ceiling of a garage, so exhaust and cold air stay out of the house and a heated workspace keeps its warmth.

A new family room, bedroom or four-season sunroom gets an airtight foam shell, so it matches the comfort of the original house from its very first winter.

Crawl space spray foam insulation lines the foundation and joist ends of that knee-high space beneath a split-level, keeping the floor overhead warm and the air beneath it dry.
