Attic Insulation
Attic spray foam insulation seals the holes cut through your upstairs ceiling, then adds enough depth on top to keep winter heat in the bedrooms below.
View Attic InsulationCrawl space spray foam insulation lines the foundation and joist ends of that knee-high space beneath a split-level, keeping the floor overhead warm and the air beneath it dry.
Tight spaces with little headroom are part of the job, and each one gets a free look first.
Pioneer Park grew in the 1970s with plenty of split-level homes. In a backsplit or sidesplit, part of the house often sits over a crawl space instead of a full basement. The family room or kitchen floor above it can stay cold all winter.
Crawl space spray foam insulation on the foundation and joist ends keeps that space close to the temperature of the rooms above.
Cold, damp air in a crawl space rises into the house. It can carry musty odours and moisture that soaks into the floor framing. Fibreglass batts hung under the floor tend to drop and hold water.
We pull out loose batts, apply closed cell foam to the block or concrete and lay a heavy plastic ground cover taped at every edge.
For crawl space spray foam insulation, closed cell foam is the only product we use. It resists water and controls vapour once it reaches about two inches. It also stiffens the wall and gives mice nothing soft to nest in. Open cell is never used in a crawl space because it can soak up moisture.
A crawl space with two feet of headroom takes longer than one where you can kneel upright. We check the access and condition during the visit, and the price reflects what we find.
Crawl space walls in Ontario usually run $3.50 to $7 per square foot. The quote lists walls, joist ends and ground cover separately.

A visit for one room often turns up a second spot worth sealing on the same trip.

Basement spray foam insulation sticks to poured concrete, stops drafts where the floor framing meets the foundation and keeps damp air off the wall, so a finished lower level stays warm and dry.

Foam sprayed into a vaulted ceiling fits strong R-value into the slim gap between drywall and roof, so the room stops leaking heat through its ceiling.

Garage spray foam insulation tightens the walls and ceiling of a garage, so exhaust and cold air stay out of the house and a heated workspace keeps its warmth.
